Professor emerita tapped for science advisor role
Julie Miller Jones is joining the Quaker Oats Center of Excellence Scientific Advisory Board and will be sharing her extensive expertise in nutritional science.
Currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Jones is a distinguished scholar of food and nutrition and professor emerita of St. Catherine University's Department of Family, Consumer and Nutritional Sciences.
She is the recipient of the American Association of Cereal Chemists’ highest honor, the William F. Geddes Award, and has chaired and served on numerous working committees on issues around whole grains as well as consulted for industry and government organizations.
Jones received her B.S. from Iowa State University and her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
