The Leadership Institute at St. Catherine University is pleased to welcome 3M Co. President and CEO Inge Thulin to the St. Paul campus for a speech titled “Global Innovation, Global Leadership.”

Thulin will speak Tuesday, March 26, from 8 to 9 a.m. as part of the St. Catherine Forum on Leadership. The breakfast event is open to the public. Tickets are $28 per person ($25 for St. Kate’s alumnae) or $250 for a reserved table of 10 ($200 for alumnae).

As a global business leader with extensive international experience, 3M’s Thulin has formulated relevant perspectives on innovation, global business and the essentials of helping people develop to their full potential. He will share his views on leadership principles, sustainability and strategy, and how to transform principles into practical results.

With hands-on experience building businesses in both developed and developing economics, Thulin is known for emphasizing teamwork, a concept he learned to value as a young hockey player in one of Sweden’s top leagues. He is known for his quick wit and accessibility, for focus and clarity, and for his uncanny ability to effectively prioritize.

Thulin will be interviewed by Associate Professor Rebecca Hawthorne, program director of the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) at St. Kate’s and co-author of the annual Minnesota Census of Women in Corporate Leadership, which examines the percentage of women in the upper echelons of Minnesota’s top 100 public companies.

The event is a collaboration between the School of Business and Professional Studies at St. Kate’s and the 3M Women’s Leadership Network.
