St. Kate's grad awarded Pediatric Home Services scholarship

Pediatric Home Service (PHS) recently announced the recipients of its third annual Respiratory Therapy Scholarships.

The grand prize scholarship of $1,000 was awarded to Aubrie Anderson '14, a recent graduate of the respiratory care program at St. Kate's.

“Being able to pursue a healthcare career in which it's your job to help people will allow me to have a life-long occupation that I will love,” said Anderson in a PHS press release.

The scholarships are awarded to students who currently attend, or have recently graduated from, a respiratory therapy school. This type of education aligns with one of Pediatric Home Services primary focuses – caring for people with heart and lung disorders.

“We had an outstanding group of applicants this year, and we are excited to know these students are about to enter the field,” added Derek Hustvet, director of respiratory therapy at PHS.
