Over the course of 18 months, 20 elementary teachers from Stillwater School District participated in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) certificate program at St. Catherine University.

Andersen Corporate Foundation donated $156,000 to provide the training. The teachers started integrating what they learned into their classrooms this fall, and will implement a “train the trainer” model to instruct other district teachers starting in November.

To celebrate the occasion, Susan Roeder ’91, public affairs director for Andersen Corporation, presented STEM tool kits to teachers at Lily Lake Elementary School on Oct. 24.
