In collaboration with 3M Architectural Markets, St. Catherine University unveils its new classroom space at International Market Square (IMS) with Leading by Design, an open house and panel event exploring new paradigms of leadership in the interior design profession.

The event will be Wednesday, April 30, 4:30-7 p.m. The panel will include 3M Architectural Markets Global Design Manager Byron Trotter as well as top talent and leadership from AECOM, HGA and NELSON Architecture & Interior.

The panel will be moderated by Jacqueline Byrd, Ph.D., owner and founder of Creatrix, Inc. and author of the recently published book Voice of the Innovator.

The Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) has approved .2 credits for this event. To RSVP, email University events or call 651-690-6664.

New classrooms at IMS

St. Catherine University has two new classrooms on the fifth floor of IMS – the first downtown Minneapolis location for St. Kate’s. The classroom-studios feature innovative interior finishes and lighting fixtures donated by 3M Architectural Markets. The spaces are equipped with pivoting walls, as well as whiteboards on all wall surfaces, to maximize light and encourage interactions.

St. Kate’s baccalaureate interior design program, launched in fall 2012, is housed in the IMS space. Classes in the University’s recently launched Master of Business Administration program will also meet here.
