Toby Pearson to give address at Associate Commencement

Toby Pearson, executive director for Catholic Health Associations of Minnesota, will give the address at St. Catherine University’s College for Applied and Continuing Learning Commencement Ceremony on May 23, at 4 p.m.

For the past decade, Pearson has served as the executive director of the Catholic Health Association of Minnesota, the advocacy arm of the Catholic Health Care Providers in Minnesota. 

Prior to this, Pearson was a Duluth-based organizer and policy analyst for the National Catholic Rural Life Conference, a group that championed rural communities, farmers and local businesses. He traveled the Midwest and nationally, met with farmers and brought their concerns to Washington D.C.

Pearson graduated with a B.A. from St. John's University in Collegeville, an M.A. from Northern Arizona University and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. 

He is the subject of the recent book Falling Through Clouds.
