Leadership series to feature Best Buy executives

"Our Northern Stars" Leadership Lecture Breakfast Series continues at St. Catherine University on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 8 to 9 a.m., with a panel of Best Buy, Inc., executive women leaders. The panel is facilitated by radio personality and alumna Ruth Kosielak '78.

The panelists include:

Christine Webster Moore, Vice President, New Business Customer Solutions
Dr. Susan Marcinelli, Senior Vice President, Innovation and Leadership Development
Beth Smits, Vice President, Field Service
Melissa Barra, Vice President, Finance Lead New Business and Reengineering Officer

The topic of the panel discussion is “Navigating Your Career Path when the Routes Keep Changing.” The panel will address an outcome of the recession — that women must be in charge of their own professional next steps and be aware of what is happening in their industries.

Panelists will share lessons learned from their leadership journey within a company that has changed, grown and evolved over the last several years. They will also discuss what leadership skills are essential for women to succeed and how women leaders can add value in a competitive job market.
