Mpls.St.Paul Magazine's 2014 Outstanding Nurses Awards honored St. Catherine University Doctor of Nursing Practice Associate Professor Rozina Bhimani in the "Nursing Educator" category.

She was honored at an awards ceremony and dinner Wednesday evening at the Golden Valley Country Club. She was surrounded by University leadership and colleagues, including Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Dean Penny Moyers and Associate Dean for Nursing Margaret Dexheimer Pharris.

According to the magazine, "Mpls.St.Paul Magazine's Outstanding Nurses Awards are given to the top nurses in the Twin Cities metro area. Nurses are nominated by peers, patients, and the general public, and finalists and winners are chosen by an independent panel of judges and Mpls.St.Paul editorial staff. Winners also will be featured in September's issue."

Bhimani was honored in May with a Faculty Teaching and Advising Award – a University top honor.

A faculty member of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program, Rozina Bhimani is committed to helping her students connect learning to real-life practice, to address disparities from a global perspective, and to pay special attention to addressing social justice issues.
