Women's Choir concert April 3

The Women’s Choir of St. Catherine University will present their spring concert on Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m., in Our Lady of Victory Chapel on the St. Paul campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Patricia Cahalan Connors, the choir will perform works by Schütz, Mendelssohn, McCray and two Minnesota composers, Wayne Kivell and Stephen Paulus.

The concert will feature the premiere of the new work, “Forgotten,” based on Sara Teasdale’s poem “Song,” and written for the choir by composer-in-residence Jocelyn Hagen.

Its performance will serve as a preview for the larger Jocelyn Hagen Festival planned May that will include lectures, a recital of solo and chamber works and a concert premiere of her new Requiem, Ashes of Roses.
