Careers in Aging Week

Students in the Master of Social Work program provided jointly by St. Catherine University and the University of St. Thomas participated in a Reader’s Theater in the Center for Women on Monday. The dramatic presentation was one of several events that took place Monday, in order to kick off Careers in Aging Week at St. Catherine University.

Events will continue throughout the week, ranging from round-table conversations with faculty to experiences in the liberal arts. For complete descriptions of the Careers in Aging Week events, visit this website.

Monday, April 11:
• Noon-2 p.m. — Round table conversations with faculty on Careers in Aging

• 2-3:30 p.m. — “A Reader’s Theater about People who care for People in Nursing Homes”
Center for Women, 2nd Floor Coeur de Catherine, St. Paul Campus

Tuesday, April 12:
• 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Round table discussions with faculty on Careers in Aging
Old Main Dining Room, Minneapolis Campus

• 7 p.m. — “Young at Heart” motion picture
The Pulse, Coeur de Catherine, St. Paul Campus

Wednesday, April 13:
• 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Career Development Office walk-in hours

• 7 p.m. — “Intergenerational Dance and Storytelling”
Frey Theatre, St. Paul Campus

Thursday, April 14:
• 4:30-6 p.m. — “The Inside Experience of Aging Through Poem and Story”

Friday, April 15:
• Noon-6 p.m. — Visual Art Exhibit and Research and Practice in Aging Poster Session

• 2-3 p.m. — “Enjoyable Cuttings about Aging from Drama and Musicals”
