Gate 4 to close temporarily for construction

Due to construction, the entrance gate to St. Catherine University on Fairview Avenue will be closed for several days beginning Monday, Sept. 19. Parking in the adjacent lot will remain open.

The entrance gate on Fairview Avenue, also known as Gate 4, provides access to The O'Shaughnessy event parking lot on the east end of the St. Paul campus of St. Kate's. This parking lot is adjacent to the athletic fields, as well as the Sister Alberta and Sister Georgia Apartments. The gate will be closed throughout the day beginning on Monday, Sept. 19, and it will reopen at the latest, by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.

To access parking during this time, drivers should:

  • Drive north on Fairview Avenue (from Gate 4)
  • Turn left onto Randolph Avenue
  • Enter the University grounds at Gate 3, which displays signs for The O'Shaughnessy.

Traffic flow into north side parking lots to be modified during gate closure

Access to faculty-staff parking lots north of Mendel Hall and the Frey Theater will not be available from Gate 3.

Those who park in those lots will need to enter and exit from Gate 1, on Cleveland Avenue, or Gate 2 on Randolph Avenue, during the construction in order to facilitate traffic flow.

For a map of the entrance gates and parking at the St. Paul campus of St. Kate's, view the attached map or visit the University website. Construction can be delayed by the weather.
