Give to St. Kate’s Day 2013 shatters single-day giving record
With an impressive $474,145 raised, the fourth annual Give to St. Kate’s Day on Nov. 13 shattered St. Catherine University’s single-day giving record.
A total of 1015 donors joined in the effort, including over 230 donors who increased their gift over last year.
Student Telefund callers worked from 9 a.m.–9 p.m. making calls and doubled the total dollars they raised last year. Many seniors participated in Give to St. Kate’s Day as first time donors.
The annual day of giving supports the St. Catherine University Annual Fund — a fund that contributes to student financial aid, technology, library resources, faculty enrichment, career development opportunities and more.
“It was amazing to see our whole University participate in full force to support the Annual Fund kickoff effort. From alumnae to parents to faculty and staff to students, the community illustrated their desire to make a difference at St. Kate's,” says Elizabeth Johnson, director of the Annual Fund.
Nearly 100 of St. Kate's faculty and staff members donated during the event.
Student needs ongoing
Give to St. Kate's Day funds accounted for 23 percent of the goal for annual giving, which is $2.1 million for the current fiscal year. Donors may continue to give to St. Kate's throughout the year.
The process is simple and secure—donors can log on to stkate.edu/giveonline and contribute with a credit card or to learn more about KatieDirect or other types of gifts visit Ways to Give on the University’s website.
