Orthoptics professor awarded Lancaster Medal
Assistant Professor of Orthoptics Lisa P. Rovick, MHSc, CO, COMT, was awarded the prestigious Lancaster Medal by the American Association of Certified Orthoptists (AACO) on Oct. 23, 2011, during its Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fl.
The prestigious Lancaster Medal is an award bestowed to an excellent orthoptist by the AACO in recognition of meritorious contributions to the field of orthoptics. It is a lifetime achievement award.
Rovick, who serves as the program director of Orthoptics at St. Catherine University, has been involved in AACO for many years, and is a nationally and internationally recognized orthoptist. She continues to serve AACO and the American Orthoptic Council (AOC) and represents St. Catherine University in AACO and AOC activities.
