Reframing - changing what others think, feel, believe and ultimately do – is the work of leaders. Gifted leaders understand this process starts from within as they contemplate then find creative alternatives to various challenges.

In recognition of St. Catherine University's Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) program’s 30 years of leadership education, acclaimed innovators and leadership experts Bill and Penny George join broadcast journalist Cathy Wurzer in conversation on the topic of "Reframing as Leadership."

As our society faces what appear to be intractable problems in personal and professional spheres, on the local, national and international stages, thought leaders, like Bill and Penny George, have discovered that obstacles can be reframed as opportunities, weaknesses can become strengths and the impossible reconstructed into the possible.

Penny George, a pioneer in the national movement to transform medicine and healthcare through principles and practices of integrative medicine, provides a stellar example of one who challenges the prevailing medical model. Her husband, Bill George, former CEO of Medtronic, is an internationally recognized leadership expert who effectively re-focuses leadership on values and re-orients leadership education to include both personal and professional development. Emmy award-winning journalist and author Cathy Wurzer challenged and reframed traditional conceptions of journalism in her radio series with former University of St. Thomas dean, the late Dr. Bruce Kramer, and their book, We Know How This Ends: Living While Dying.

Penny, Bill and Cathy will explore the leadership work of reframing on Monday, April 25, at the 30th anniversary celebration of the MAOL program at St. Catherine University. Reserve your seats today for this very special event.
