Professor Emerita receives lifetime achievement award

Professor Emerita Theresa McPartlin '69 was honored for her contributions to the social work profession by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. 

Conferred with Professor Emerita status at St. Catherine University's spring commencement ceremonies, McPartlin taught in the collaborative St. Kate's/University of St. Thomas Social Work department for 28 years.

McPartlin is a 1963 graduate of Hill-Murray High School in St. Paul. She earned an undergraduate degree from St. Kate's in 1969 and a master's degree in social work administration from the University of Chicago in 1978.

She was among four faculty members honored at the 2011 retirees event in May.
