Students in the Communications Studies program at St. Kate's participated in a Mentor Minute Connection Event during the evening on Wednesday, May 2.

The event matched 12 students to 12 mentors, giving students the opportunity to make quick connections in four-minute meetings with communications and marketing professionals -- including author and motivational speaker Dr. Verna Price (above, right), a frequent contributor to seminars and workshops at St. Kate's Leadership Institute.

The goal of the event was to help students gain insight on potential options and challenges as they pursue their goals beyond St. Catherine University. The brief meetings were followed by 30 minutes of networking and socializing with the larger group of students in the Communication Studies Club. The event was organized by Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Elizabeth Otto.
