High school students and their parents are invited to see all that Minnesota private colleges and universities — including St. Kate’s — have to offer during Minnesota Private College Week.

Minnesota Private College Week runs from June 20 to June 24, with tours offered at each of the 17 participating institutions. The event offers students the opportunity to get their questions answered and learn just how affordable private colleges and universities can be.

Campus tours and general information sessions will be held twice daily at each institution. The sessions will run from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. and from 2 to 4:15 p.m. Students can choose which colleges they want to visit and register online for free, at mnprivatecolleges.org/mpcw.

The event is open to any student who will be a high school sophomore, junior or senior when classes resume in the fall.

Why attend a private college or university?
Minnesota’s private colleges offer students the variety of knowledge and skills that employers are seeking. They also offer academic excellence, through one-on-one contact with professors and other real-world experiences, as well as a strong sense of community.

At St. Catherine University, students are educated to lead and influence. The University is inspired by its visionary founding in 1905 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. More than a century after it was founded, the University serves a diverse student population, with a baccalaureate college for women at its heart and graduate and associate programs for both women and men.
