Exercise and sport science major to present at national conference
Hanan Zavala '12 is one of more than a dozen students from St. Kate's who are presenting their research at the 2013 National Conference on Undergraduate Research.
As an Exercise and Sport Science student at St. Kate's, Zavala conducted research on The Influence of Perceived Exercise Intensity on Metabolism, Caloric Estimation, and Optimism, and Snack Choice, with Gabrielle McGurran-Hanson '13 and Dr. Mark Blegen. The research team used the Women's Health Integrative Research (WHIR) Center to complete their research, taking advantage of the new state-of-the-art facility on the St. Paul campus.
