Occupational therapy faculty honored at state meeting

Four members of the St. Kate’s Henrietta Schmoll School of Health faculty were honored at the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association’s (MOTA) annual conference Oct. 8-9 in Duluth.

Occupational Therapy Associate Professor Karen Sames was awarded the prestigious MOTA Communication Award for being "a powerful, effective, and tireless advocate for occupational therapy in Minnesota."

Occupational Therapy Assistant Professor Barbara Gilbertson was honored with a MOTA Award of Appreciation for her outstanding contributions to the MOTA newsletter.

Service awards were also given to Gilbertson, Occupational Therapy Assistant program Assistant Professor Amy Heinz and Occupational Therapy Associate Professor Linda Buxell for their contributions to the association.
