St. Catherine University holds inaugural MPAS White Coat Ceremony
The first-ever class of Master of Physician Assistant Studies students at St. Catherine University donned their white coats in a ceremony on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.
Held in Our Lady of Victory Chapel, the ceremony celebrated each student's entry into the physician assistant profession with the presentation of a white lab coat. The students also took a pledge to uphold the ethical and professional standards of the medical profession.
The Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at St. Catherine University was accredited in March, allowing the first class of students to enroll in September 2012. The program is only the second accredited physician assistant program in Minnesota, according to the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
