Shout Out St. Kate's Day returns on March 7, 2013
In the second annual event, St. Catherine University has designated Thursday, March 7, 2013, as "Shout Out St. Kate's Day."
St. Catherine University invites students, alumnae, faculty, staff and friends of the University to tell their St. Kate’s story on March 7, 2013. If St. Kate's has made a difference in your personal or professional life, or in your family or community, share your story on Shout Out St. Kate's Day.
Founded by Vice President for External Relations Marjorie Mathison Hance '70, now retired, the goal of Shout Out St. Kate's Day is to lift St. Catherine University's brand from "strong but quiet" to "vibrant and well-known."
Winners of the Shout Out Video Contest will be announced at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 2, at The O'Shaughnessy, prior to a free and public performance by Illusionist Jared Sherlock.
During the inaugural Shout Out St. Kate's Day, held Feb.29, 2012, the alumnae chapter in New York City waved Shout Out signs for "The Today Show" cameras at Rockefeller Center. More than 50 Katies gathered for a photo on the steps of the Minnesota Capitol during Occupational Therapy Day, and current students and alumnae sent in photos and videos to share their story.

Alumnae of St. Catherine University are invited to a happy hour following the Tweet Up, after which St. Kate's will put on the Katie Leaders Fashion Show.
The Katie Leaders Fashion Show begins at 7 p.m., also in the first-floor rotunda. The show will feature “up-cycled” designs by St. Kate's apparel design students, as well as looks from Ann Taylor styled by fashion merchandising students. Many St. Kate’s alumnae and students will be featured as models.
Local hip-hop and R&B artist Toussaint Morrison will also perform a few numbers, including a spoken word piece about coming from a family of Katies.
