St. Catherine University returns to the Minnesota State Fair for the 2015 Great Minnesota Get-Together. In keeping with the University’s presence in the Education Building, St. Kate’s booth will showcase its academic programs.

Faculty, staff, students and alumnae from the University’s undergraduate academic departments will be represented, from Psychology to Biology to Apparel Design — as well as graduate programs in Leadership, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy — more than a dozen in all.

Elsewhere at the Fair

In addition to the booth, the Apparel Design program showcases their sustainable designs in two fashion shows in The Eco Experience building on Saturday, Aug. 29, at noon and 2 p.m. Students in St. Kate’s Wildcat Dance Team are marching in the State Fair’s daily parade on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m.

St. Kate's Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) alumna Laura Morlock ’04, MLIS’11 is returning this year as project coordinator for Alphabet Forest in Baldwin Park. Members from the MLIS program’s ALA student chapter are volunteering August 27, and the Beta Phi Mu honor society is scheduled to volunteer August 29.

Attending the State Fair?

If you’re planning to attend the Minnesota State Fair, alumnae, staff, faculty and students are encouraged to help build the University’s visibility at the Fair by wearing St. Kate’s apparel. Be sure to snap a photo, share a memory of your time at St. Kate’s and post on your favorite social media platform with the hashtags #StKatesonaStick and #MNStateFair.

The popular Katie fan returns as this year's give-away although supplies are limited, so be sure to make the St. Kate’s booth an early stop!

Alumnae will find an easy opportunity to update their contact information and share St. Kate’s stories at the booth. There is a special gift for those alumnae who take time to share their email addresses and Twitter handles!
