STEM on a Stick comes to the Minnesota State Fair!

The National Center for STEM Elementary Education at St. Catherine University joins the second annual STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) at the Minnesota State Fair.

Returning for the opening day of the great Minnesota get-together, STEM Day at the State Fair will be located in Carousel Park, just outside the grandstand, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25.

With 28 organizations participating, visitors will be able to engage in hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations from a diverse array of exhibitors and organizations. A performance stage will entertain and educate audiences with fascinating experiments and demonstrations.

There will be STEM activities that show children and their parents how to engage in STEM after school, and interactive demonstrations from schools and organizations that illustrate how science, technology, engineering and mathematics permeate everyday life. Exhibitors will also present information about future employment trends and educational opportunities in STEM fields.
