Winners of Study Abroad Photo Contest Announced

 

The winners of the 2011 Study Abroad Photo Contest have been announced. Congratulations to the winning Katies!

Students entered photos in two categories, the Katies Abroad category and the Cultural Connections category.

In the Katies Abroad category, Kathleen O’Meara, a graduate of MAHS, won 1st Place for her photo, "Warm Indian Welcome," taken during January term 2011 in India. Diana Tastad, a senior in International Relations, won 2nd Place for her photo, "Preikestolen," taken during spring semester 2010 in Oslo, Norway, Romania. Sarah Hollows, a senior in Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity, won an Honorable Mention for her photo, "Meditation at Burning Lake," taken during spring semester 2010 in Nepal.

In the Cultural Connections category, Sarah Hollows, a senior in Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity, won 1st Place for her photo, "The Young Monk," taken during spring semester 2010 in Nepal. Jordyn Arndt, a senior in French and International Business and Economics, won 2nd Place for her photo, "Fez Tannery, Morocco," taken during spring 2010 semester in Morocco. Kathryn Bitney, a graduate in MAOL, won an Honorable Mention for her photo, "Jerusalem Street Market," taken during January term 2011 in Israel.
