St. Kate’s president and several alumnae honored as Twin Cities Women Leaders

On September 16, the George Family Foundation will recognize 84 local women leaders for remarkable contributions to the region at its first “Celebrating Twin Cities Women Leaders” event.

The event celebrates women who have served as CEO, board chair or president of large corporations, colleges and universities, government and nonprofit organizations, health care, and major arts organizations in the Twin Cities.

St. Catherine University President Andrea Lee, IHM, along with several alumnae and trustees are among those honored, including:

  • Rebecca Bergman, president of Gustavus Adolphus College; Trustee 2003–2013
  • Mary Brainerd, president and CEO of HealthPartners; Trustee 1992–2002
  • Sara Gavin ’77, president of Weber Shandwick North America; Trustee 1997–2003
  • Paula Hart, MAOLCert ’11, president and CEO of Volunteers of America–Minnesota
  • U.S. Congresswoman Betty McCollum ’87
  • Anita Pampusch ’62, mayor of Lilydale; president emerita of St. Catherine University
  • Becky Roloff ’76, president and CEO, YWCA of Minneapolis; Trustee 1984–1996
  • Sandra Vargas ’91, president and CEO of The Minneapolis Foundation; Trustee since 2009
