When the Twin Cities Book Festival returns to the metro area on Saturday, Robert Grunst, Ph.D., a professor of English at St. Kate’s, will be there. Grunst is among 16 authors who have been selected from the local Twin Cities area to be part of the Local Lit Lounge at the annual event.

For the first time, the Twin Cities Book Festival will be held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, with activities taking place in the Historic Progress Center. In its 12th year, the event will include readings from world-renowned authors, panel discussions, children's events and scores of exhibitors, all in one accessible and central location.

Grunst, who has authored several poetry collections and most recently "Blue Orange," will talk about his work and offer book signings during the Local Lit Lounge. His newest collection, published in 2012 by The Ashland Poetry Press, uses description and personal memories to portray the world in a different light.

The Local Lit Lounge runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with Grunst slated to go on at 1 p.m.

The Twin Cities Book Festival is presented each year by Rain Taxi Review, offering a full day of activities for the literary community in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The event is free and open to the public, with free parking offered on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this year.
